We’ve all seen the ads with the cute kid obsessing over how comfortable his bed is, well apparently we shouldn't be holding fabric softeners so high.
Rich Handel has gone viral after sharing the 5 things he wouldn't do as a ‘laundry expert’, one of which is using fabric softeners.

People in the comments were definitely on board with this:

But many people also took to the comments to say they didn't even use fabric softener to make their clothes soft, it was for the scent.

Amelia from The Laundry Edit also agreed that we shouldn't be using fabric softener in our laundry, but she did have some advice about the type of wash cycle that might help with the 'scent'...
So maybe on your next load, don't reach for the softener bottle too quickly.
