These Viral Biscoff Hot Cross Buns Have Hit NZ Shelves Just In Time For Easter

I will be putting these in the microwave.

Snacking on a pack of hot cross buns is a must every easter, and people are planning on doing just that with these Biscoff hot cross buns.

Someone had the brilliant idea to pump the buns full of Biscoff spread, creating a gooey filling. They're already sold out online (for now) but are available in four-packs at Woolworths/Countdown if you can find a bag.

Tiktoker @bynessa sent the buns viral on TikTok, with her video breaking the bread, attracting over two million views and hundreds of thousands of likes.

Commenters are saying they need to get their hands on the buns, but a few not so fond of Biscoff are letting their opinions be known.

One person said they are going to "buy in bulk and freeze".

“I'm gonna get this first thing in the morning,” said another.

“They're vegan friendly too which is amazing,” a third added. “I'll be eating these every day.”

“Biscoff is not that good,” one more claimed. “Stop making everything Biscoff.”

A few lucky shoppers who have already tried them shared that the ratio of filling differs from bun to bun within each pack, so it's a luck of the draw.

Of course, as others pointed out, you can also buy Biscoff spread and lather it on yourself, which is what we'll do if the pre-filled ones remain sold out.

Will you be putting a bag in your trolley during your next food shop?
