The grief and sadness that came after the news of Her Majesty passing away have been felt worldwide. Billions of people have come together on 19.09.2022 to mourn the loss of the Queen be it by watching the funeral service in person or online via live stream and television.

During the emotional funeral service at Westminster Abbey, it was quite visible that King Charles III was trying his best to keep his emotions in the whole time.

There were key moments like when the Sovereign's Piper played a solemn lament and when the entire congregation sang "God Save the King", where the King could be seen controlling his emotions the most.

King Charles III however was spotted wiping his tears, when he was walking behind the coffin just before entering the Westminster Abbey for the Queen's Official Funeral Service.

Later when the service was coming to an end and the whole church stood for the service as Her Majesty's coffin began departing the Westminster Abbey, he blinked his tears away.

King Charles III had shared a statement ahead of the funeral service, thanking all the well-wishers around the world and everyone who took the time to go and pay their respects to the Queen in person.

His Majesty wrote: "Over the last ten days, my wife and I have been so deeply touched by the many messages of condolence and support we have received from this country and across the world."

"In London, Edinburgh, Hillsborough and Cardiff we were moved beyond measure by everyone who took the trouble to come and pay their respects to the lifelong service of my dear mother, The late Queen."

"As we all prepare to say our last farewell, I wanted simply to take this opportunity to say thank you to all those countless people who have been such a support and comfort to my Family and myself in this time of grief" he added.
