New game 'Heardle Decades' lets you guess all the hits from '80s

Are you feeling nostalgic?

Somedays one Heardle is a struggle and a half, other days we want more than just one.

Well, the answer is here with a touch more nostalgia too.

If you’re not familiar with Heardle, it’s a music variant of the popular online game Wordle. Just listen to the intro of a song and guess the correct artist & title. It starts by giving you a second of the tune, with each skip of incorrect attempts unlocking more of the intro.

Now Heardle Decades has joined the scene, based on songs from the '60s, '70s, '80s, and '90s.

Heardle Decades chooses a song from these decades at random, unlike the original Heardle which chooses from the most streamed songs of the previous ten years.

There’s even a separate version for 80s number 1s!

It doesn't stop there, if you’ve already gone through the ’60s to ’90s, there are artist-specific versions of George Michael and Wham!, and more.

These are not official arms of Heardle and their new owner, Spotify, but it does plug into the audio streaming service.
