Michael Buble has pulled out of hosting one of the biggest nights in music, The BRIT Awards this year to be with his 3 year old son, Noah.
Noah is currently undergoing treatment for liver cancer.
The hosting gig would have been a great career highlight for Buble and organisers of the event are yet to confirm a replacement host.
A source told The Sun "It was a difficult call but Michael has decided to pull out of hosting the Brit Awards. Out of respect for Michael the producers gave him as much time as he needed to make the decision, which they completely understood. He would have put a unique stamp on the night so it's a real shame, but at the moment his priority is his family. They are exploring other options now about who will take his place and a number of people have thrown their hat in the ring. No matter who they pick it will be an incredible night.
Buble has cancelled all upcoming events to allow more time to be with his son Noah.
It was reported late last year that Noah has a 90% chance of survival. His treatment is expected to last for 4 months.
Michael's sister-in-law, Daniela Lopilato, told Argentinian magazine Gente, "Cancer is a horrible illness but we have faith in Noah being able to overcome this." "We know he will. The time to start a long and very difficult treatment has come but it’s got to be done." "They say that children are often strong enough to withstand chemotherapy… and my nephew is a warrior."
