Two modern beer inspired cocktail recipes that might just beat the classic shandy

It's a hard job, but we think they've done it.

Beers are no longer for sipping on their own anymore. One of 2024's biggest beverage trends has been the uprise in popularity of ‘beer cocktails’.

And no we're not talking about your classic lemonade shandy mixture.

Gone are the days of pouring a half glass of the fizzy drink to disguise the yeasty taste. Heineken has teamed up with cocktail professional cocktail mixer Dave Ryan to create two unique cocktails that will have you sipping on the modernised tastes.

Think the bitter orange of an Aperol Spritz or the spice of a Highball.

If you're heading along to the New Zealand Sail Grand Prix in Christchurch this weekend, you can try the mixes for yourself. They're serving the two SailGP-inspired cocktails throughout the event.

If you can't make it on the day, you're still in luck because we have the recipes on how to ace making them from home too.
