This AKL bar is selling Gin cocktails inspired by a classic Kiwi biscuit and we have the recipe

Here's how you can make the spicy beverage at home!

Just when we thought our gin cocktails couldn’t get any spicier, Auckland bar ‘The Brit’ has added a boozy twist to one of our fave Kiwi biscuits - a gin-ger kiss cocktail!

In celebration of World Gin Day -  June 10th - a mix of white cacao liqueur, cream, spice and Lighthouse gin will be expertly shaken to create the perfect blend of sugar, spice and everything nice.

Excuse me, while I clean up the drool off of my screen.

If you happen to find yourself keen for a kiss in Britomart between the 25th May - June 30th, you're going to want to stop in.

That means you should probably book now to avoid the fear of missing out.

If you’re not in Auckland on the day, don’t worry about missing out on a kiss, I spoke to Lighthouse’s legendary head distiller Rachel Hall and nabbed the instructions for you to make the spicy cocktail at your place.

Gin-ger Kiss at Home:

Ingredients:
• 45ml Lighthouse Gin
• 30ml white cacao liqueur
• 45ml cream
• 20ml ginger syrup
• Pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon

Method:
1. Fill a shaker with ice cubes
2. Add Lighthouse Gin, white cacao liqueur, cream, and ginger syrup
3. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass
4. Lightly sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon

If you really want to level things up, grab a pack of classic ginger kisses to garnish your beverage. Yum!
