Reader's Digest has announced the brands that Kiwis can trust at their annual Trusted Brands Awards.
This is the 24th year in a row that Reader's Digest has surveyed 1700 New Zealanders all from a mixed demographic.
Based on the survey, here are the top ten brands Kiwis trust:

4. Canon
5. Resene
6. Toyota
7. Tip Top
8. Samsung
9. Mainland
10. Cookie Time

Whittaker didn't just win Most Trusted Brand but has also won the other two which are Most Trusted Confectionary and Most Trusted New Zealand Iconic Brands.
"The highest praise goes to Whittaker’s, who this year has won Most Trusted Confectionery, Most Trusted New Zealand Iconic Brands AND Most Trusted Of All Brands Surveyed," Reader’s Digest editor-in-chief Louise Waterson said.

Whittaker's was indeed very transparent about many things including their price changes over the years. They always gave consumers a heads up before giving them a shock at the supermarket when purchasing. This transparency has kept loyal fans around for a long time despite the rise in price, hence building trust and keeping it.
