One of our favourite parts about Christmas time is going to look at Christmas lights.
Here are some of the best places to see Christmas lights in Auckland:
Franklin Road, Ponsonby
One of Auckland's most well known displays, the whole street gets involved!
Karaka Lakes, Karaka
Look out for the house at 20 Cornwall Place, they are having a light show every night up until Christmas Eve.
Christmas Lights House, Pukekohe
Located at 25 Prospect Place in Pukekohe, this place has great lights, a coffee van and even Santa Claus himself.
Torbay Christmas Lights Display, Torbay
This display on Auckland's North Shore helps raise money for Starship Childrens Hospital.
Kensington Park, Orewa
On the 18, 19 and 20th there will also be drinks and nibbles.
Sky Tower Christmas Wonderland
The SkyTower is lit up red and green this month to celebrate Christmas and if you head to Christmas Wonderland under the SkyTower you'll see the giant Christmas tree, carousel and a gingerbread house.
Dannemora Lights, Dannemora
With the lights there is also a snow machine.
Christmas Night Rides, Rainbow's End
Rainbow's End's Night Rides are on every Saturday evening through December.
MOTAT, Pt Chevalier
There's lights, carols and magical movies at MOTAT this year and the tram is also running. For just a $2 donation you can see the display and all the donations go to the Auckland City Mission and the Auckland Women’s Refuge.
