Ali's Banana cheesecake loaf

Alis' back again with a delish banana cheesecake recipe and it sounds and looks absolutely delicious!


For the Loaf

  • 3 ripe bananas 
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup of castor sugar
  • 8 tbsp of melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup of plain flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda

For the filling

  • 1 large egg
  • 110 gms of cream cheese
  • 3 tbsp of plain flour


  1. Heat the oven to 180 C.
  2. Mash bananas in a bowl and mix the eggs, sugar, butter, vanilla and yogurt together.
  3. Add flour, salt and baking soda.
  4. Pour half the banana mix into a prepared loaf tin.
  5. To create the filling, combine all filling ingredients in a bowl.
  6. Put the cream cheese filling on top and put the remaining banana mixture on top.
  7. Bake for about 50 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
  8. Allow cooling a bit before you tuck in!
