These brownies are chewy and fudgey, some would say they are the perfect brownie!

- 180g butter
- 200g dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 Tbsp Golden Syrup
- 3 extra large eggs
- 1 cup Caster Sugar
- ¾ cup plain flour
- ¼ cup baking cocoa
- ½ tsp salt
- 70g dark chocolate, extra, roughly chopped
Preheat oven to 180°C bake or 160°C fan forced. Grease and line an 18cm x 28cm pan with baking paper.
Combine butter, chocolate and golden syrup and melt together.
Beat eggs and sugar in a bowl until light and doubled in volume. Sift flour, cocoa and salt together. Add flour and chocolate mixture to eggs and mix until well combined.
Pour into prepared pan. Drop extra chocolate onto the top of the brownie. Bake brownie for 30 minutes or until the top is firm when touched. Cool in pan and cut into squares.
