This recipe is really cheap to make and is best served with crusty bread... Mmmm!
1 rasher of middle bacon or 3 strips of streaky bacon3-4 Tbsp of Butter
2 Tbsp flour
2 1/2 cups milk
Tin of cream style cornSalt and pepper
Dice bacon ( leave it out if wanting vegetarian )
Sauté in big pan till crisp. Add butter & chopped onion & cook till tender. Stir in
Flour and when mix gets frothy slowly add milk .
Cook over medium heat until sauce thickens and gets to a boil. Add the can of corn .season with salt and pepper. Serve ! So few ingredients and so much flavour ! And nice and cheap!Should serve 5-6 people!
