Prince Harry quickly returns to the UK to visit King Charles III after shock cancer diagnosis

The King made his first public appearance at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Prince Harry has returned to the UK following the King Charles III cancer diagnosis.

The Duke of Sussex flew from California to London overnight after Buckingham Palace announced the news of his father’s health.

“During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.

“His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties.

“The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.

“His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.”

Prince Harry travelled alone leaving his wife Meghan Markle in the US with their two children Archie and Lilibet.

According to The Guardian: He was driven straight to the King and Queen Camilla’s home to see his father following outpatient treatment on Monday.

This morning, the King made his first public appearance since the diagnosis was made public.

Driving to Buckingham Palace, Charles was seen smiling and waving to well-wishers waiting outside and along the streets.

While no details have been shared on the type or condition of King Charles cancer, it’s a postive, a source told the Telegraph: “He’s on his usual good form in every way, just a little frustrated that his condition has affected not just his own plans but impacted on others.”
