John Travolta tears up as he introduces Oscars' 'In Memoriam' with a 'Grease' reference

One of the most emotional moments in the 95th Academy Awards.

At the 95th Academy Award, John Travolta did the introduction for Oscar's 'In Memoriam', the segment where everyone from the industry who passed away in the past year are remembered.

"In this industry, we have the rare luxury of getting to do what we love for a living, and sometimes getting to do it with people that we come to love, and since tonight is a celebration of the work and the accomplishments of our community in this past year, it is only fitting then that we celebrate those we've lost, who have dedicated their lives to their craft, both in front of and behind the camera" John said.

"Through their immeasurable contributions each of them left an individual mark  that shared and informed us ."

"They've touched our hearts, they've made us smile, and became dear friends..."

Controlling his tears, John added, " who we always remain hopelessly devoted to".

John makes a reference to the Grease Track 'Hopelessly Devoted to You' which was sung by Olivia Newton-John in the movie.

The first person who's name appeared on-screen right after John's introduction was Olivia's.

Fans quickly shared online how that made them cry and feel emotional.

Lenny Kravitz performed a piece as the stage showed names and photos of those who passed away in the past year.
