Lynda Topp to stop her chemo treatment due to 'nerve damaging side effect'

We know you both are strong fighters, you got this!

Topp Twins has shared their update on Facebook revealing that Lynda has had to stop her chemo treatment.

"Lynda has had to stop her Chemo Treatment due to Chemo induced peripheral neuropathy which is a nerve damaging side effect of the weekly chemo she was receiving" they wrote.

"Symptoms are tingling, pain, numbness and reduced balance in her feet, she is currently receiving Accupunture treatment and natural plant based remedies as there is no known cure for this."

Jools is 'feeling well' and currently waiting on a scan to check if the radiation has reduced the tumour in her rib cage.

They've also shared a message to all the other Kiwi women who are going through cancer treatment:

"The twins continue to smile and stay positive everyday and would also like to acknowledge all the other women out there in New Zealand who are going through cancer treatment," they said.

Earlier in March the twins revealed that they are both battling breast cancer.

The New Zealand entertainment community has teamed up to pay tribute to Dame Lynda and Jools to celebrate 40 years of Topp Twins on November 7th.

The twins shared this wonderful news and have also said that they themselves will be performing too.

"Jools & I will be there to perform with our friends we are fighters, always have been always will be. See ya there" Lynda wrote on their Facebook post.

This will be the first public performance for them since Lynda's cancer diagnosis.

"This super-special one-off concert will be filmed on the night for Sky TV however nothing will match the experience of being there in the grand ol’ dame of Auckland theatres, the Civic Theatre, to pay tribute to the grand dames of NZ entertainment" the organizers wrote on their website.

Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster.
