Julia Roberts returns to the rom-com scene after a 20 year break and reunites with George Clooney

Welcome back Julia!

Julia Roberts rose to fame as rom-com’s favourite leading lady and we have missed her charm from our screens after not starring in a romantic comedy for two whole decades.

Well, now that’s all changed because she is making her way back into the rom-com scene, and who better to make it happen than George Clooney?

Clooney and Roberts have previously worked together in ‘Ocean’s Eleven’, ‘Ocean’s Twelve’ and ‘Money Monster’.

Now the two have reunited to co-star in 'Ticket to Paradise,' written and directed by ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’s’ Ol Parker.

In a recent interview with New York Times Roberts said: "People sometimes misconstrue the amount of time that’s gone by that I haven’t done a romantic comedy as me not wanting to do one."

She continued: "Even with Ticket to Paradise, I thought, well, disaster, because this only works if it’s George Clooney. Lo and behold, George felt it only worked with me. Somehow we were both able to do it, and off we went."

There's something so comfortable and heartwarming about watching Roberts and Clooney being their charming, silly selves together again.

Roberts shared her predictions for the new film with Variety saying:  "I think it’s so funny and George is so funny. George and I together, it’s probably going to be terrible. There’s too much potential for it to be great, it’ll just implode on itself. I think that should be the commercial for the movie: 'It’s probably going to be terrible.'"

The chemistry between the two appears to be as strong as ever in the trailer, and we can't wait to see the "terrible" film in theatres on October 21.
