Adele says she's felt better than ever, and her weight loss journey has not only changed her body but also her mind.

People closer to the singer have claimed that it has transformed her on a personal level.

"There’s a lot to do with her weight loss that has really changed her life, but it’s so much more than that," a friend said.

Back in 2020, a dietician revealed some details around how Adele lost the weight, including what diet she opted for.

Her weight loss journey started back in 2012 when she wanted to improve what she ate. Mainly for her voice's health, she ditched 10 cups of sugary tea and farewelled alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine and all "spicy, citrusy and tangy food".

"I'm frightened all the time I'm going to damage my voice" she admitted.

In 2016 she lost weight when she was building her stamina.

By 2017, it was reported that she had lost around 12kgs because of the second change she implemented and that was the sirtfood diet.

A dietitian described the diet and said Sirtfoods foods include "leafy greens, strawberries, walnuts, extra virgin olive oil, dark chocolate, curry spices, green tea, red wine and coffee."

"It's a real food lover's diet as the encouragement is to pack as many of these foods into your meals as possible, creating hugely flavoursome meals as well as allowing treats such as red wine and dark chocolate." they added.

It also creates very positive food relationships as it's not about villainising food but embracing what makes us feel and look great.

The singer also made changes to her fitness by hiring a LA 'body wizard' pilates instructor Camila Goodis. Camila was introduced to Adele through Robbie Williams' wife Ayda Field.

Even though Adele's determination and dedication is all there, she has admitted that she will 'never, ever relish' going to the gym.

"I mainly moan. I’m not, like, skipping to the ******* gym. I don’t enjoy it," she told Rolling Stone in 2016.

"I do like doing weights. I don’t like looking in the mirror. Blood vessels burst on my face really easily, so I’m so conscious when I’m lifting weights not to let them burst in my face!”

It may have been for her voice, it may have been for stamina or fitness, but her dedication and determination helped her feel physically and mentally better. Go Adele!
