ABBA's song voted as the number one favourite wedding party song

According to a recent survey, ABBA's classic 'Dancing Queen' has been voted UK's favourite wedding party song. 

The 1976 hit has been an all time favourite even after nearly 50 years since it was first released. 

Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now' and 'Sweet Caroline' by Neil Diamond were voted second and third respectively. 

Here's the top ten favourites wedding party songs.

  3. Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond
  4. Happy - Pharell Williams
  5. Mamma Mia - ABBA
  6. December 1963 (Oh, What A Night) - Frankie Valli
  7. Dancing In the Moonlight - Toploader
  8. Night Fever - Bee Gees
  9. I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas
  10. Don't Stop Believin' - Journey 

They created a list of top 40 favourite wedding songs which also had songs from Robbie Williams, Elton John, Tina Turner, and of course, Whitney Houston.

The survey also revealed that 59 per cent of the surveyors enjoyed the "cheesiness" of wedding songs while 21 per cent looked for hit songs that they can dance to.

When it comes to "first wedding dance songs",  there was also a survey done to find the most popular ones in the world. 

And while we bet you had already picked that Ed Sheeran songs were right up near the top of the list, there may be a couple of unusual first wedding dance songs that you would never have thought to be so popular.
