Recent study reveals the total hours that mums spend on parenting tasks each week

Must See 23/05/2022

A survey of 2000 mothers raising school-aged kids (ages 5 to 18) discovered that mums spend nearly 100 hours a week on parenting tasks.

A poll by Campbell's Well Yes! Sipping Soups showed a result that a mum wears at least 15 different hats from chef to financial advisor. Hence the hours are way more than your regular full-time 40 hours job.

53% said sacrificing sleep for their children was how they got that extra time for their mum role. While 47% said they give up date nights, hobbies and time with friends.

The researchers also found that if mums were to get paid for their work as parents, it would easily be a six-figure salary! And this is along with their paid jobs. 70% of the mums who did the survey were either still working full or part-time jobs.

“With the amount of time moms spend taking care of their children, it’s no surprise that they’re giving up time for themselves,” says Palmieri.

It is definitely an extremely difficult job that mums somehow pull off!

Study finds wrote a job advertisement for 'being a mom' and this is funny and true.
