New Zealand makes it in the list of top ten safest countries in the world

Condé Nast Traveller has released the top ten safest countries in the world.
 
When it comes to solo traveling, safety is of major importance for many. The Institute of Economics and Peace (IEP) has released its annual Global Peace Index (GPI), a data-based measurement of global peacefulness. 
 
The safest country in the world is Iceland and it has not moved from its rank since 2008. 
 
Here are the top ten safest countries in the world:

  2. New Zealand
  3. Denmark
  4. Portugal
  5. Slovenia
  6. Austria
  7. Switzerland
  8. Ireland
  9. Czech Republic
  10. Canada
