As revealed through the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame website, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, and Duran Duran are being inducted alongside Eminem, Eurythmics, Pat Benatar, Carly Simon and Neil Giraldo in the performer category.
“This diverse group of inductees each had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture and helped change the course of rock & roll,” said John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
“Their music moved generations and influenced so many artists that followed.”
Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and Duran Duran gave thanks and shared the news with their fans.
"I am honored and humbled by the fact that I have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" wrote Dolly
"I will continue to work hard and try to live up to the honor" she added.
Lionel Richie said he felt incredibly honoured to be inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Duran Duran shared a video thanking fans for their support and said that they're "so honoured, thrilled and happy".
The 2022 induction ceremony is set to take place on Saturday, Nov. 5 in Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theater.
