If you ever wished there was something that could show you which supermarket had the best deals, then this website is here to the rescue!
Grocer.nz lets you compare prices of the grocery or an item from the three major supermarkets in the country - Countdown, New World and Pak'nSave.
First, you select the preferred local stores that you'd like to compare from. Click on the logos of the different stores and select the locations of the particular store. You can check your selected stores in the star section.
Then you can either scan the barcode of the product or type it out in the search section, to check and compare the price.
Once you click on the item, it shows you the current price of the different stores that you selected. This will show you where you can find the cheapest.
One should note that the same brand of a particular item would not be available in all three stores, so n/a will be written, if so.
You can also create a shopping list by clicking on '+' to add it to your list. This will not just be a handy shopping list that your partner can refer to for groceries, but it also shows you how you can get the 'lowest total' for your grocery.
It also shows the store that is a 'one-stop shop' (where you can get all the items from your list).
So, the lowest total could make you head to two different stores as shown below (Pak'nSave and New World), but it all depends on your grocery list.
Prices are updated daily on the website. This will be a handy website to check before heading out to the supermarket!
