It has been 35 years since 'Dirty Dancing' was released!
Back in 2020, it was confirmed that Dirty Dancing would be getting a sequel. Jennifer Grey has shared an update that the movie is in the early works.
The sequel of one of the most iconic films ever 'Dirty Dancing' is currently still in the writing phase and Jennifer mentioned that she has been working on it with Lionsgate for a couple of years now.
"It was lightning in a bottle, it's like this thing happened, and it's so beautiful, and I can't explain it. No one can explain it. We're working on this sequel, I'm working on it with Lionsgate and working on the script. We've been working on it for a couple of years" she told Screenrant.
Jennifer is not only producing the film, but she's also returning to the big screen.
"All I can say is there is no replacing anyone who’s passed—you never try to repeat anything that’s magic like that," she said in an interview. "You just go for something different."
We can't wait to have the time of our lives...again!
