Anne Hegerty, best known as the fierced-eyed and sharp-tongued Governess on The Chasers, won't be making an appearance in the upcoming third season of Beat the Chasers. Due to catching Covid, the popular Chaser has had to pull out of the third season's taping, and instead, a new Chaser will be subbed in.
The new Chaser Issa Schultz is from Aussie and is the main Chaser on the Australia version of The Chase. Issa, the 38-year-old has been an eight-time winner of the Australian Quizzing Championships - bagging awards in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021.
He's also won big money prizes on other shows including 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and 'The Rich List'.
Shaun 'The Dark Destroyer' shared a photo of him and Issa on Twitter welcoming him to Beat The Chasers.
The Governess announced the news on her Twitter and Issa retweeted it, saying that he's got 'massive shoes to fill'.
Fans who were an audience during the live taping of the show shared that Issa did a great job on the show!
However, the official Instagram account of Beat The Chasers has confirmed that Anne Hegerty will be back after this season as they stated, " We look forward to having her back on set soon".
