When The Cat's Away are being inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame more than 30 years after Melting Pot made them a well-known household name.

The five ladies that make up the band, Annie Crummer, Margaret Urlich, Debbie Harwood, Dianne Swann, and Kim Willoughby, will be recognised for their individual contributions to Aotearoa’s music scene and their impact on pop culture in NZ.

Presented by the Hall of Fame Trust, the inductions are undertaken in a private ceremony whereupon inductees are gifted a tapu taonga, in accordance with tikanga Māori.

So well deserved, ladies!
