Queen seen using walking stick for first time as she attends service at Westminster Abbey

In what is thought to be the first time ever, the Queen has been seen using a walking stick.

The 95-year-old monarch has used a walking stick once before 20 years ago after a knee operation, but this is believed to be the first time Her Majesty has used one for comfort.

She was handed the aid as she got out of her state limousine, but appeared to be walking freely as she made her way inside.

The cobbled and uneven surface outside the abbey is thought to have played a part in the decision to use the walking stick.

While the walking stick has made some royal fans a little wary of the Queen's health, we think good on her! If the walking stick is still allowing her to get out and about and live her life then so be it.
