Kiwi boutique RUBY releasing size inclusive zero waste collection

New Zealand boutique RUBY has just announced that their new collection ‘Liam Everything’ is to be released on 8th of October and will be available in sizes 4-24!

RUBY shared the news to their Facebook page the boutique’s general manager and Liam designer, Emily Miller-Sharma explains in a statement: “Everything will be available in sizes 4-24, and we will continue to offer custom sizing for anyone who is outside of that size range. We have worked closely with a range of people across various different sizes to really understand how to get our grade rules right, and make sure that our fits are spot on.”

“It has taken a village to raise this collection. from our fit models, to the extraordinary geo of geo knits slow, to our fantastic team at RUBY. I am looking forward to it going out into the world and seeing what it can teach me about its experiences.”

But that’s not it!

As well as the inclusive range of sizing RUBY has taken this collection to the next level by also being zero waste!

The offcuts generated during the production process are cut into strips and sent to Geo and her posse of knitters.

The knit patterns developed in collaboration with Geo Knits Slow will be available to purchase at launch in october. In addition RUBY will also be selling knitting needles, custom made from waste dowl, and repurposed at the ReMaker Space in Tauranga.

First arrivals from Liam Everything will arrive in store and on the RUBY website from Friday 8th October.
