In 2016, news swept the globe that George Michael had tragically passed away on Christmas day.

Now, four years after his death, the singer is to be honoured in London with a huge public mural, measuring around 9m high.

The mural will be in the borough of Brent, where he grew up, and will be unveiled as part of Brent Borough of Culture 2020 in September and will celebrate George's work with the LGBTQ+ community.

According to The Guardian the mural will be part of Studio Voltaire elsewhere, a series of artworks due to be unveiled across London.
