Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, has made a rare, but reassuring televised speech to Britons and the Commonwealth amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Her Majesty, 93, acknowledged the grief and financial pain that we are enduring and thank health workers on the front lines of the crisis.

"We should take comfort that while we may have more still to endure, better days will return: we will be with our friends again; we will be with our families again; we will meet again" Her Majesty said.

"I hope in the years to come everyone will be able to take pride in how they responded to this challenge," the queen said. "and those who come after us will say ... this generation were as strong as any."

A single cameraman wearing protective gear filmed video of the Queen's speech at her weekend home, Windsor Castle, outside London, while all other technical staff remained in another room, according to the BBC.

It's only the fourth time The Queen has addressed the Commonwealth in this way outside of her Christmas broadcasts.
