Home bakers are loving this recipe for Peanut Butter Bread - that uses no yeast

Give this one a go!

If you’ve already had a go at making Ali’s delicious cheesy beer bread, then you’re going to want to sink your teeth into this interesting bread recipe that dates back to the 1930s!

The recipe is for peanut butter bread and home bakers are loving it because, like the beer bread, it uses no yeast and is pretty straight-forward.

The recipe uses just six ingredients and home bakers who have tried the recipe out have described it as having a “thick, almost muffin like” texture, with a light (but yum!) peanut butter taste.

RECIPE:

  • 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 4 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
  • 1 1/3 Cups Milk

METHOD:

Mix the entire thing in a mixing bowl. It will be a gooey dough consistency, and not a bread-dough like ball.

Pour the mixture into a buttered loaf pan, using a spatula to get all of the dough out of the mixing bowl.

Bake at 325 degrees Farenheit for about an hour.

Top your tasty Peanut Butter Bread with some Nutella, Jam, Marshmallow fluff - or anything that tickles your fancy really!
