If you can't get through the day without getting a nap in, then these findings from a sleep expert might be of use to you!
“Your nap should be 20-30 minutes. That way, you’ll be re-energized without affecting your nighttime sleep.” the expert says.
The expert went on to say that the key to a good nap is to avoid going on for too long.
“You know how sometimes you’ll wake up from a nap feeling groggier than when you first laid down?” they said. “That’s because you entered a deeper, slow-wave sleep and then were jolted out of it too early.”
They also added there is a certain time of day when it's better to sleep.
“The body’s preference is to nap around 2-4 pm. That’s why most Spanish siestas take place at this time.”
So there we go, the perfect nap time to feel refreshed!
