Fish & Chips is probably the most well known quintessential Kiwi meal.
But have you ever for one instance thought that you were eating it wrong?
One British man, who left a single comment underneath a food review, has sparked controversy between thousands of people, and left many confused.
After a restaurant columnist posted a review of her local fish and chip shop, claiming that she loved the 'extra globs of thick batter', the British man replied claiming that the batter should not be eaten.
"The batter is there to protect the fish during frying, you peel it off, throw it away, then eat the fish!"
"If you bake a fish (or indeed a vegetable) in a salt crust, do you eat that too?" he wrote.
The comment knocked many people to six.
