Elton John shifts Auckland concert date after doctor's instructions

At his Sunday night show at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium, the legendary Sir Elton John was forced off stage after his voice stopped working. 

He revealed he had been diagnosed that morning with walking pnuemonia, but had decided to try and do his full show. 

He managed 16 songs of his 25 strong set list.

Despite concrt promoters issusing a statement that his two final NZ show's in Auckland would be going ahead as planned, it has now been revealed, that on strict doctors orders, Sir Elton has had to move the date of his Tuesday night show.

He was set to perform at Mt Smart Stadium on Tuesday the 18th of February, but that has now been changed to Wednesday the 19th of February.

His show on Thursday the 20th of February will still go ahead as planned.

Elton said, ‘I’m looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at Mt Smart Stadium.”

All tickets remain valid for Wednesday’s show. All concert details including transport remain the same for Wednesday.
