You could be paid $1,500 to watch the Star Wars movies back-to-back

Must See 06/12/2019

One lucky Star Wars fan is being given the chance to be paid for just sitting back and getting lost in a galaxy far, far away.

The hype for the upcoming film The Rise of Skywalker has a lot of fans wanted to rewatch all the past movies of the franchise, so if you were planning on doing it anyway you may as well get paid for it!

CableTV.com are offering one fan the opportunity to earn $1,000 USD (about $1,500 NZD) to make their way through all 10 movies.

The lineup consists of the original episodic trilogy – A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi – as well as the prequels The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, two of the three sequels, The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, and the non-episodic prequels Solo and Rogue One.

The epic lineup would take the viewer about 22 hours, 25 minutes to complete - almost an entire day!

There is a slight catch though - while watching the films, the lucky winner must share their thoughts in real time on social media. This probably wouldn't be too hard of a task for a true Star Wars fan though.

Whoever is chosen to complete the marathon viewing will be provided with Blu-Rays from CableTV.com, and will be rewarded with not only cash but some merchandise too. The gifts include an R2-D2 popcorn popper to provide you with the perfect movie snack, a Chewbacca onesie to curl up in while you watch the films, and a Han Solo Nerf blaster.

The competition is unfortunately only open to US citizens, but if you happen to be a Kiwi expat over that way you can enter here.

Who will be the chosen one?
