Uber is experimenting with a new 'Uber Pet' service!
Taking your pet around the place can be a rather difficult task if you don't have a car or are unable to drive. It's not just as easy as taking your bus on public transport, or having to walk your dog everywhere you go.
So Uber's new trial for 'Uber Pet' is being met with a lot of praise!
“All household pets are accepted on rides, including turtles and hamsters, as well as caged birds and fish in bowls or bags,” said Uber. “Riders can bring more than one animal at the driver’s discretion.”
Of course, not every single will be pet-friendly, but Uber drivers can opt in to the service if they are fine with animals and don't possess allergies.
To user Uber Pet, it will have a surcharge for users of a few dollars and Uber has said that a large portion of this surcharge will go to the driver onto of their normal earnings, according to Pupsy.
The feature has begun a trial in Austin, Denver, Nashville, Minneapolis-St.Paul, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Tampa Bay over in the US.
Fingers crossed it heads to New Zealand if the trial is a success!
