After the abrupt announcement earlier in the year that the three iconic Masterchef Australia judges of Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris would be leaving the show immediately, fans of the series wondered how the show would continue.
But after just days of the judges shock resignations, rumours swirled as to who the show had secured to replace Preston, Mehigan and Calombaris and it seems the rumours weren't quite true.
Jock Zonfrillo, Melissa Leong and Andy Allen have been revealed as the new judges of MasterChef Australia.
Jock Zonfrillo is a Scottish chef who has appeared as a guest in past Masterchef seasons.
Melissa Leong is a food writer who has appeared on SBS's reality cooking show The Chefs' Line.
Andy Allen is an Australian chef best-known for winning the fourth season of Masterchef Australia.
Network Ten's chief content officer, Beverley McGarvey, said in a statement she was thrilled to welcome three new judges to the long-running cooking show.
"Their combined culinary credentials, coupled with their passion and sheer joy for food, and their relentless enthusiasm to explore ingredients, preparation and cooking methods ensures we are in for a real treat," she said.
