The Block NZ sponsor TSB steps up to help out the three teams who made no profit

What an awesome thing to do!

It was a rollercoaster season for The Block NZ 2019 and now it has all come to an end.

Only two teams met their reserve - with only one actually making profit.

Two of the four apartments didn't met reserve at auctions, but later it was revealed Apartment one was negotiated to meet its reserve.

Appearing on The Project on Monday night, the boys from Team Orange, Ethan and Sam, revealed they hadn't expected to walk away with nothing.

"We were hoping we'd get a little bit of money, but weren't expecting to get nothing," Ethan says.

"It's one of those things. We came on the show with nothing, so - well we won the nation's heart so you can't put a price on that sort of stuff," Sam adds.

And while we are sure Ethan and Sam's revealtion will be felt throughout the other two teams who got absolutely nothing for all their hardwork, there are good news for them.

One of The Block's sponsors, TSB, has announced that it's going to give the three losing teams $10,000 each!

Ka pai TSB!

A GiveALittle page has also been set up to help the boys from Team Orange, with it sitting well over $20K (at the time of writing).
