NZ 02/09/2019

A free light display that only Mother Nature can bring!

The famous Aurora Australis lights wowed Kiwis with its colours last weekend. With its purple and green Southern Lights, the view was visible in the Canterbury, Mackenzie and Otago regions.

Viewers calling the sight 'awesome', with photographers and enthusiasts alike having a real treat with photographing the beautiful display.

Even some took the chance to capture breathtaking time-lapses as it swept the NZ sky.

Auroras are easier to spot outside of the cities where light pollution will not affect the display and there is less obstruction.
