A posthumous David Bowie album of tracks recorded in 1969 is set to be released next month, on 28th June.

The extremely rare collection, titled 'The Mercury Demos', will feature 'Space Oddity' in its orignal form, and clips of Bowie singing The Beatles' 'Hey Jude'.

The tracks were recorded in David Bowie's small London flat, a 41-minute long recording made in one take on a Revox reel-to-reel tape machine.

Jazz guitarist John 'Hutch' Hutchinson accompanies Bowie on the tracks, with the album being key in securing Bowie's record deal with Mercury Records.
