Netflix TV drama 'The Crown' has found its actress to play the iconic Princess Diana.
Newcomer Emma Corrin will take on the role of Lady Diana Spencer, the future princess of Wales, and will be introduced in the fourth season of the Netflix show, and not the upcoming third season.
"Emma is a brilliant talent who immediately captivated us when she came in for the part of Diana Spencer. As well as having the innocence and beauty of a young Diana, she also has, in abundance, the range and complexity to portray an extraordinary woman who went from anonymous teenager to becoming the most iconic woman of her generation," 'The Crown' creator Peter Morgan said.

Emma Corrin has very few acting credits to her name just yet, but will likely become a household name when she makes her appearance, already saying she will "strive to do [Diana] justice."
I have been glued to the show and to think I'm joining this incredibly talented acting family is surreal. Princess Diana was an icon and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring.
Season three's season of 'The Crown' will see a time jump into the 'Wilson' era of 1964-1970. Olivia Colman take over Claire Foy's role as Queen Elizabeth. Tobias Menzies will step into the role of Prince Philip, previously played by Matt Smith.
The newest season is set to be released late 2019.
