Clarke Gayford has revealed his most impressive skill of fatherhood: the expert installation of the baby Neve's carseat.
During an interview with a Stuff parenting podcast, Gayford told comedian Michele A'Court he had repeatedly practiced installing the carseat before Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern gave birth to their daughter in June.

In fact, Gayford says he regrets the media didn't cotton on to the move.
"I was almost disappointed they didn't film that moment, because, man, I was like a slick professional," Gayford said.
"I was like an official baby loader - 'watch me load this child'."
So impressive are his skills, Gayford even admitted he was a member of a carseat discussion group on Facebook - probably this one.
Gayford's TV Show Fish of the Day will resume filming this summer, meaning baby Neve will soon have two working parents.
Ms Ardern says while it's less time-consuming than a regular 9-5 job, her partner will be away from home for periods of time - and the couple will need some help in the childcare department.
"For those periods where he's off filming, my mum and my mother-in-law are helping me, and then he's back in between," she told Stuff.
"We're just making it work, between us."
