“Plant based” has been called the hottest food trend of 2018, promising to fight obesity, lower high blood pressure, and prevent diabetes.
The vegan diet has increased by 360% in the last decade and this year we see a growing trend of vegetable replacements for meat. For example, pulled jackfruit has become a massive trend this year, as a vegan option.
But how easy is it to adopt the lifestyle? And are the options delicious enough to get kiwis to ditch meat?
