Original cast of Back To The Future reunite and discuss fourth film possibilities

Must See 13/08/2018

Back To The Future fans are rejoicing as the stars of the original cult classic film reunited at Fan Expo Boston over the weekend.

Michael J Fox (Marty McFly), Lea Thompson (Lorraine Baines-McFly), Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown) and Thomas Wilson (Biff Tannen) posed for a photo together, celebrating the moment on social media.

"Back in 2018, even Biff made it," Fox captioned his snap.

"This was special," wrote Lloyd on his.

The get-together comes 33 years on from the 1985 release of the first film in the wildly popular franchise.

Described as "four old friends" by Thompson on her Instagram post, the foursome went on to star in two more Back To The Future movies, in 1989 and 1990.

And while fans are beside themselves to see the gang together again, the panel discussion at the expo made it clear audiences shouldn't hold out for a fourth film.

"Basically, I think America is saying, 'Come on they've wrecked every other franchise with bad sequels, why not this one?'" said Wilson.

"'C'mon, we would watch it until it sucks.'"

Fox then chimed in that original co-creator Bob Gale is the "gatekeeper of the franchise", and that he's not interested in making part four.

Many fans at the event were decked out in the iconic vest made famous by Marty McFly.

Fox commented that he used to hate his costume, claiming, "'it looked great, but it was terrible to wear!"
