Meghan Markle's 'depth of heart' shown in touching letter to past classmate

Meghan Markle once sent an uplifting letter to a "very shy" classmate that demonstrates the "depth of her heart", according to her former teacher.

The letter was reportedly written in 1993, when the Duchess of Sussex was a student at Immaculate Heart High School in California.

Christine Knudsen, who was the school's principal at the time, revealed the letter in a recent documentary on Markle entitled How to Bag a Prince.

"Dear Michelle, you are so strong and wonderful - your courage in strength in times of hardship is as admirable as your optimism and friendly nature," the letter reads.

"I am so lucky to have you in my group and to be able to lead you on this adventure.

"Never stop sharing your beautiful spirit and always remember how special you are - I am here if you ever need me. I love you, Meghan."

Knudsen says that Michelle was "very shy" and "a bit of a loner".

"Meghan wrote her the most wonderful loving note," says Knudsen in the Channel 5 documentary.

"Even though Meghan was not her close friend at all. It just shows the depth of [Markle's] heart."

It's not the first time Markle's past has recently been unearthed and warmed hearts, with footage also emerging of her taking down a sexist TV commercial at the age of 12.
