3 Tips to improve your time management

For some of us, it just feels as if there aren't enough hours in a day to get everything done. To ensure you tick everything off your list that day, there is a number of simple steps to achieve this. Including prioritising your time and simplifying tasks. 

1. Plan your day

Setting aside time the night before or during the morning to plan your day, it is great to map out your day. This is to ensure that you don't become flustered or overwhelmed. Take a look at what needs to be done that day, put the time-sensitive tasks at the top of your list to ensure you meet that deadline. 

Prioritization is crucial, don't put too much pressure to achieve everything in a day, it may take time. There are so many hours in the day, and there is a massive difference between getting everything done, and getting most things done well. If you've finished your day with the essentials ticked off, consider it a successful day!

2. Use your phone to set reminders 

Make sure you use that phone that is with you all day! It is a psychological fact that the human brain can only remember seven different things, so you're bound to forget your tasks of the day. Use your phone and set reminders of everything you have to do, at different times of the day to ensure you're on top of it. 

If the phone reminders aren't you're thing, try out the old notepads. If you're busy and something pops into your head, quickly jot this down into a notebook so you can come back to it later. 

3. Be Early to everything 

Never plan to be on time to anything, this will only mean you could be on time or late. Adjust your schedule to be early to everything. This gives you that extra time to tackle the day's tasks and make sure it gets done on time.
