As Meghan Markle embarks on her first royal outing with just her and the Queen we take a look back at Kate Middleton's first solo appearance with the Queen. Meghan is travelling with the Queen on a one-on-one trip on the Royal Train to Chesire. This comes about less than 4 weeks after she was married to the Queens Grandson Harry at St Georges Chapel.
However, Kate Middleton did not complete occasion until a year after she was married to Princes William at Westminster Abbey in April of 2011. On March 8th, 2012 the Queen, Prince Phillip and Kate travelled by train from Kings Cross St. Pancras Station to Leicester. Many fans waiting to try to catch a glimpse of these royals, which we can most likely expect for Meghan this time around too. Kate travelled with the Queen as a part of her Diamond Jubilee tour which celebrated her 60-year reign of the U.K.
Kate was 30 at the time and was pictured in a teal peplum suit by L.K Bennet and a hat that was designed by James Lock. BY her side the Queen wore a bright pink suit dress alongside a matching hat. As part of their trip in 2012 the Royals watched a dance performance by children in De Montfort Square whilst they were on their way to their school. Followed by a university student-led fashion show, where the Queen and Kate were front row.
