Sometimes the gym can be too expensive, or the lack of motivation means you don't make it, here's a great list of accessible apps to get you exercising!  These days everything is on your phone, and there is indeed no lack of fitness apps. But rather than trialling them all, here's a great run of some of the best!

This audio-based app has plenty of workouts which are music driven. You can choose what you prefer, whether it's running, cycling, stretching or even a yoga workout. This app has a vast backlog of exercises, over 2,500! The best part of this app is that it has fitness levels depending on your ability, so it is customisable for you. The significant benefits of the music are that its motivating music that you want to workout to, also incorporated with audio-based cues to make it super simple! Another bonus is The app is that there are no excuses, if you don't, have wifi, as you can download the workouts to do without wifi! 

  • My Fitness Pal

This is the original food tracking app which has developed over the years to be one of the best still! If you're going to be exercising a lot, you need to make sure you are getting enough energy from your diet. This is perfect to track your foods throughout the day as it acts as your in pocket food journal. My fitness pal contains a massive database of different foods nutritional values, which make entire of food super simple and clear. 

  • Sworkit

This app focuses on setting an achieving your personal fitness goals. Setting goals are crucial when working out and this app tailors the goal toward you. So you put in your current fitness, and it helps generate goals for your fitness and will personalise a 6-week challenge. Some people love sticking to a plan. However, this is not your style of workout plan; you can scroll through their 50 different workouts and pick which one you think will suit you. 

  • Calm

If you are using some of these apps and increasing your workouts, you should know that stretching is just as important as working out. The Calm app encourages you to take time out for Mindfulness and Meditation to relax after a workout. This app also includes a range of breathing exercises which is an excellent recovery practice.
