The Breeze Auckland breakfast host Robert Rakete is dancing his way from early mornings to late nights to take part in Dancing With The Stars (and isn’t he making us proud!)
Robert once said his secret wish was to compete on Dancing With The Stars, so this is a dream come true for the loveable media personality.
Robert’s chosen charity to support on the show is KidsCan.
The KidsCan Charitable Trust was founded in 2005, out of a garage in Greenhithe. KidsCan CEO and Co-Founder Julie Chapman had found that thousands of Kiwi children were going without the basics like food and warm clothing, which most of us take for granted growing up. This was impacting their ability to learn at school. KidsCan currently supports and delivers programmes into 709 schools in all 16 regions of New Zealand from Northland to Southland. By the end of term two, 718 schools will be receiving KidsCan programmes.
“They do so much work at KidsCan… the food, the clothing. The products like toothpaste and soap that goes out to children around the country to help them out. That’s why I’m so grateful KidsCan have allowed me to dance for them on Dancing With The Stars.
Hopefully I do enough on the show to get your vote, and we can help a lot of children around New Zealand with KidsCan.” - Robert.
