Prince William has made his first public appearance since the news that he and The Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child.
On Tuesday William attended a National Mental Health and Policing Conference in Oxford, England to give the keynote address. While he was there he spoke about the news and shared a health update on his wife who is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, which she had with both George and Charlotte.
"It's very good news," he said. "We need Catherine to get over this first bit and then we can start celebrating. It's always a bit anxious to start with, but she's well."
“There’s not much sleep going on at the moment.”
Kensington Palace announced on Monday that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third baby.
In a statement released on Monday morning UK time, the palace said the Duchess was experiencing severe morning sickness and won't be at her next royal engagement.
"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child," the palace said.
"The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news."
"As with her previous two pregnancies, The Duchess is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum. Her royal highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children's Centre in London today."
"The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace."
