Princess Diaries author Meg Cabot says a new movie sequel already has a completed script and "it could happen" soon.
It's sounding very much like fans will finally be able to see what's become of Mia, Lilly, Queen Clarisse and maybe even Nicholas.
Cast members Anne Hathaway and Heather Matarazzo have both posted messages online making it obvious they still have love for the films, which were released in 2001 and 2004.
Fellow cast member Julie Andrews told media earlier this year a third movie may be made "as a tribute" to director Garry Marshall, who died in 2016.
Now Cabot, the author of the original Princess Diaries book series, revealed there is still an interest in moving forward with a third film - and that a script does exist.
"Who knows? It could happen," she told Entertainment Weekly.
"I would love to sit and talk about [it], but I can't. I'm not allowed," she added.
Disney has not commented on the reports of a new Princess Diaries film.
